Readly, Europe’s leading digital magazine subscription service, is further strengthening its presence in Italy with the entry of Condé Nast Italia and the 9 magazines on its platform. This means that 100 Italian monthlies and weeklies are currently accessible through apps, in addition to the more than 4,500 international periodicals.
You can now get Vanity Fair, Vogue, GQ, AD Architectural Digest, Glamour, Wired, Condé Nast Traveller and, of course, La Cucina Italiana and the brand new La Cucina Italiana US, a quarterly magazine designed for the American market. Along with the main Italian and foreign publishers, the Condé Nast Italia periodicals are now accessible at any time through the Readly app on smartphones and tablets, with the ability to select favorite topics, search for articles and customize your reading experience.
On Readly you can access the latest issue – as well as back issues – of your favorite magazine or discover new publications, which can be read in total relaxation, online or even when there’s no Wi-Fi enabled, thanks to the ability of the app to download up to 500 magazines and read them in offline mode, wherever you are.
In addition, each user can activate up to five profiles on Readly for their family members, which can be used simultaneously on different devices. Apart from the monthly fee of €9.99, there is no extra charge on Readly; cancelling a profile does not incur any additional cost.
Since its launch in Italy, initial data shows that Italians readers spend an average of 21 minutes per session on the app. The most popular categories are women’s magazines, followed by men’s, technical, entertainment and lifestyle magazines. Readly’s total portfolio of 115,000 national and international titles has been read 80 million times in the last 12 months.

Internet users are spending more and more time on digital media. On the Readly platform, for example, there are on average eight hours of reading per month for each subscriber, twice the average time users typically spend reading printed editions of magazines.

Practicality, immediacy, unlimited accessibility to content – to new issues of magazines, as well as to back issues – are the features most appreciated by Italian readers, who are ready to choose digital for reading weekly or monthly magazines in 78% of cases, according to the survey commissioned from Doxa by Readly. And 34% of the global sample agree that they can be considered a valid tool to cultivate their interests, while 83% of the sample believe that digital reading is essential to having access to foreign publications.
This is the case with La Cucina Italiana US, which exports the national vision of food and wine culture around the world and that is now present on the Readly platform for all subscribers.
