The James Beard Foundation has decided there’s no time like the present to enjoy “breakfast for dinner.” In quarantine, anything goes, even brunch served at supper time.
This Friday, the foundation will host a virtual event with the Executive Chef and Beverage Director from 232 Bleecker, a newly opened restaurant in New York City. The duo will prepare a late brunch at 6 p.m., featuring a topnotch Negroni cocktail demonstration and several “easy” brunch recipes. Tickets can be purchased online.
Theo Lieberman and Suzanna Cupps both worked at prominent New York City restaurant institutions. Theo served as the head bartender at Eleven Madison Park before becoming an advanced sommelier, and Suzanna honed her craft at Untitled in the Whitney Museum of American Art, Gramercy Tavern and Annisa. 232 Bleecker is the first full-service restaurant opened by the fast-casual chain, Dig Food Group.
The boozy brunch will finish with a Q&A. Find out what makes Theo’s Negroni better than Stanley Tucci’s and explore Chef Suzanna’s approach to a simple brunch.
