Just in time for the holiday shopping season, this week, Eataly will open its 7th location in the US at the NorthPark Center, a high-end shopping mall in Dallas.
The Dallas Morning News described the new store as a “foodie wonderland” and declared it “one of the most significant local food moments of 2020.”
Founded in Turin, Italy, by Oscar Farinetti, Eataly Dallas brings Texans an Italian shopping and dining experience that resembles those found throughout the world, while catering to Texan sensibilities and taste. The food emporium includes a market, three restaurants and a culinary school.
“We, at Eataly, are proud to announce the opening of Eataly’s first Texas location in the heart of Dallas,” explained Raffaele Piarulli, Executive VP of Eataly North America “We are dedicating our Dallas store to serve as a patron of the arts and we invite Dallasites to participate in discussions on artistic topics while sitting around a table, sharing a meal, and contemplating art over a glass of wine. NorthPark Center’s incredible existing art collection makes this the perfect home for our new location. Like art, cooking is a form of expression, and we cannot wait for Dallas to explore the beauty of art, both displayed on the walls and in the kitchen.”

Inside the 46,000 square foot location, over 10,000 specialty products and 1,200 wines and liquors fill the shelves from all regions of Italy, including those with top quality labels known as “DOP” or Designation of Origin Product. Counters brimming with hundreds of cured meats and cheeses as well as raw fish, meat, and produce provide shoppers with ample choice.
Eataly's true shopping attraction is the gift of fresh Italian delicacies, from mozzarella, and pasta to focaccia, all prepared on premise. Even brisket, a beloved Texan staple, will be available from local producers at La Macelleria, the butcher counter.

The restaurants, La Pizza & La Pasta, Il Pastaio and Terra are now open for reservations, serving wood-fired pies, daily pasta specialties and grilled meats on the rooftop. When the mood strikes, one can taste how the in-store ingredients transform a dish like a Margherita pizza or durum wheat orecchiette from Southern Italy.
Truly immersive, sensual and appetizing, there is no rival experience for enjoying all aspects of Italian cuisine outside of Italy. For those unable to visit the store, takeaway and delivery are available. Roman-style pizza by the slice, fresh baked goods, and of course, desserts, gelato and coffee are great to go.

Stay tuned for virtual cooking classes at La Scuola, the cooking school, when chefs make good on Eataly's motto, “the more you now, the more you enjoy,” teaching the essentials of Italian recipes and cuisine.
