Our recipe for savory artichoke pie with walnuts and speck
If you’re fond of pecan pie, you’ll love this tasty and delicious savory pie with artichokes (preserved in oil), Italian speck and walnuts.
Ingredients:
1 sheet of traditional pie dough
4 oz artichokes, preserved in oil
4 oz speck, diced
1 oz walnuts, chopped
2 eggs
½ cup of milk
¾ oz Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated
4 oz hard cheese, diced

Method:
This recipe is seriously easy and fast. Simply beat the eggs, milk and pepper in a large bowl until frothy. Then add the diced hard cheese, artichokes, speck and walnuts. Mix well to combine. Roll out the pie dough into a pie tin or baking dish and pour the other ingredients on top. To finish, sprinkle some grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, which will form a crunchy crust on top. Bake in the oven at 355°F (180°C) for about 25-30 minutes. Let it rest for a few minutes and then serve with a light mixed salad.
