Gianluca Corona lives and works in Milan, where he was born in 1969. A graduate of the prestigious Accademia di Brera, he became well-known in the 1990s, when he became a leading figure of the young Italian figurative art movement.
He is recognized for his sensual reinterpretation of the still-life forms and portraits as well as his meticulous research of traditional techniques.
