"Oh, that's just Gucci!" you often hear people say these days. And on this occasion, the saying is spot on. Among the many celebrated dishes created by Chef Massimo Bottura for his Gucci Osterias, a new one has arrived just in time for the winter season.
Gucci is now selling fresh panettone, a traditional Italian sweet bread, at Gucci Osterias in Beverly Hills and Florence, Italy. The seasonal Milanese pastry known for its pillowy texture and fragrant candied fruit makes for a perfect treat to munch on over the holidays, and especially, at Christmas.
This week, Gucci announced they are ready for pre-orders.
Two panettone flavors will be available at Gucci Osteria on Rodeo Drive: a traditional recipe with candied fruit and a more decadent citrus version with chocolate, hazelnut, and orange.
The loaves will arrive encased in a limited-edition tin themed like the Gucci Garden in Florence, Italy. To kick-off a flurry of orders in the US, Gucci has promoted the bread with a timeless pine cone animation drawn by Lukas Palumbo, an Italian designer.
