This week could not be better for those seeking a kitchen muse. We’re a week in to the annual Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival. This year’s roster includes virtual and in-person cooking opportunities with some of the best Italian restaurant chefs and Food Network celebrities, like Giada de Laurentiis.
Tickets are still available for an online “Cook from the Book” class with Barbuto’s Chef Jonathan Waxman and Philadelphia’s award-winning Chef Marc Vetri. And an unforgettable dinner can still be purchased with Chef Stefano Secchi, who will host a “Night of Pasta” at his Manhattan restaurant, Rezdôra, and Chef Alfred Portale, who will put on an evening of “Modern Italian.”
Over the years, New York City Wine & Food Festival has raised millions of dollars for hunger prevention charities, including, No Kid Hungry and Food Bank For New York City.
“The festival may look and feel different, but our commitment is unchanged - to serve as a resource that connects people with world-class chefs, restaurants, and bars,” said the festival, acknowledging that helping these charities is “now more crucial than ever.”
